we believe small spaces should be optimized for space and comfort, without sacrificing quality construction. as edmonton continues to grow, infill development is incredibly vital for developing a vibrant, sustainable city.

infill shouldn’t be something your neighbours complain about. we believe in building homes that fit within the neighbourhood, not ones that stick out. viga considers the context of the community, with the intention the design will feel timeless for decades.

as a family owned and operated company, we design and build each home as if it were our own. if we wouldn’t live in it, we won’t build it. we’re so passionate about building quality homes, we take the time to thoroughly analyze each and every detail from concept design to construction to completion. leading our team is an architect and an engineer who work together to create thoughtful designs and see it through on site. we don’t design and drop - we’re personally involved in every aspect of the project and ensure our design intent is maintained.

so what does viga mean and why did we choose it?

our company was founded by first generation portuguese, and viga is the portuguese word for “beam”. when we thought of a beam, we thought of strength, support and durability - that really resonated with us. this is our goal with viga developments, we want our homes to look incredible, have the quality and resiliency that can be enjoyed for future generations and most importantly, we want you to love every inch of your new home.
